My partner and I booked a last minute stay at Michael’s place, and were pleased with the entire experience. The suite is like a boutique hotel, sparkling clean and perfectly outfitted with everything we needed…and more. The location was fantastic, we walked to the canal and watched the boats, did a little shopping and spent time relaxing on the patio of one of the local restaurants. Highly recommended

Perfect, peaceful overnight getaway for my wife and I. Love the setup, layout, decor etc. Convenient kitchenette for dine in,or you can take a walk and choose from many restaurants close by. Village Bean staff and food are great. Central ta a beautiful day in the village, amazing nights sleep, late night and early morning on the back patio. My wife loved the AC. Michael is very nice, laid back and hassle free. Already thinking of our next visit here.

Lovely! I recently stayed at the “Studio Suite”, which is a couple of short blocks away from the main Street and the other two suites, and was very satisfied. The room was very clean and nicely furnished, with everything I needed for a short, private get-away. I would stay again for sure.

Outstanding Accommodations in a Perfect Location.
We stayed at the Merrickville Guest Suites (in the Sunrise Suite, Suite #2) for 3 nights recently and couldn’t have been more pleased. It has a clean, stylish, contemporary look and was spacious and comfortable. The kitchenette provided everything one needed for food storage and meal preparation. The WiFi and air conditioner worked well. We appreciated the easy, private parking in the rear of the building. The Sunrise Suite can actually be accessed by stairs leading from the parking area, or from the street entrance. We found it very convenient to have a key code instead of an actual key. Check-in at the owner’s leather shop downstairs (beautiful goods there, by the way) was quick and pleasant, but had we arrived outside of business hours, we had been provided with all the necessary information to let ourselves in.

Lovely, Quiet and family friendly.
We have family in the Smiths Falls area, and needed a place to stay when we came up to visit over a recent weekend. We have two small children, under the age of four. Often it is difficult to find suitable travel arrangements that make it comfortable for us to stay. The suite we booked was splendid, it was a private suite in a separate building with its own entrance. It was so nice not having to worry that a crying toddler would wake someone else up. We liked having our own space, and it was wonderfully furnished. The bed was so comfortable and everthing was spotlessly clean. The pullout bed was perfect for our kids, we split it in the middle with pillows. We had our own fridge and microwave, and had a popcorn and movie night with the kids.
Checking in and out was completely hassle free. The suite was open and ready when we arrived (traffic meant we were late arriving), and to check out we simply left the key and drove away.
The stay was perfect, and we have recommended the location to our other out-of-town family.

The location was absolutely perfect – right on Main Street and steps from numerous shops and restaurants. I had rather feared that the Main Street location might actually be a drawback due to potential noise issues, but this turned out to be one of the quietest stays we’ve ever had – we didn’t hear a sound.

Very, Very Nice Stay.
Our stay was very brief, but we were quite impressed with the property and the staff. We stayed in the Sunrise Suite and while we didn’t have time to enjoy the balcony, it looked lovely. The room was big, displaying some interesting art work and the bed was very comfortable.The checking process was seamless, friendly and efficient. The room was well stocked with fruit, yogurt etc. The only draw back might be the fairly steep stairs but was not an issue for us.

Absolutely lovely, start to finish. Stayed here on a family hiking trip of the Rideau Trail. We didn’t know what it was going to be like, but it was absolutely lovely from start to finish. The service was great, and all amenities were thought of and provided for. They really thought of everything. It was a lovely and cozy little spot. Would definitely go again. Highly recommend.

Clean and Quiet. We enjoyed our stay in the quaint and clean suite just two blocks off the main street in the lovely town of Merrickville. We could walk everywhere. The suite was spacious, with large sitting areas, a bright bathroom with great toiletries and a comfy bed. Watch for the fireflies at night! We will definitely return.
